Acidoll (Betaine HCl & Pepsin) 100 Capsules

Healing Naturally Ltd Betaine HCl plus Pepsin is produced to the Gerson formula in the United Kingdom. It is suitable for people following the Gerson Therapy, and for people wishing to boost their protein digestion, which requires an acidic envoirnment in the stomach. 

Acidoll is an acid digestive aid which increases acidity in the stomach. Contrary to popular belief, the acid is not directly responsible for the digestion of nutrients in the stomach. The hydrochloric acid is there to provide suitable acidic conditions for pepsin to work efficiently. The pepsin, which needs an acidic environment to function, breaks down proteins into smaller amino acids.

• Betaine HCl 270 mg
• Pepsin (1:3000) 295 mg
• Rice Bran (bulking agent)
• Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule)

Allergen advice

The pepsin is porcine derived.

Dosage

Take 1 capsule daily
Take with a meal, with a full glass of water, or as directed by your health practitioner. 

Cautions

Do not take if peptic ulcers are present or suspected. Not suitable for those with hiatus hernia or inflammatory bowel disease. Do not remove contents from the capsule as it may damage tooth enamel.
